AIM students traveled to 1492 Capital Management for final stock pitches of the fall semester

On Friday, December 11, five AIM students traveled to 1492 Capital Management to pitch stocks. This marks the fifth time that AIM students have visited 1492 to present stocks to the investment team.

1492 Capital Management, a multi-strategy, small cap investment manager located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, serves institutional and private clients. They employ a bottom-up thematic approach to small cap investing and focus on absolute returns. Their research process involves face-to-face meetings with the management, analysis of competition and suppliers of prospective companies, and a continuous search for new and emerging economic, industry and market themes.

During the fall 2015 semester both Joe Frohna and Rodney Hathaway (portfolio managers of the small cap growth and small cap value funds, respectively) visited the AIM program and spoke to the students about their approaches to equity investment.
