AIM Students Visited Pius XI High School on Monday, November 28, 2016

Department Chair at Pius XI High School, hosted Jessica Hoerres (Marquette
University AIM - Program Coordinator) and four AIM students (Nicholas Christman,
Sarah Hillegass, Tyler Sucharzewski, and Martha Wong).
Pius XI Catholic High School is located on 76th Street in Milwaukee.

Similar to Marquette University, Pius seeks to
prepare their students for higher education and lead them toward lives guided by
faith, driven by compassion, formed by scholarship, and prepared to engage the
world.
The AIM students met Mr. Radke’s Entrepreneurship class
– which consists of students likely to study Business Administration in
college. The students were mainly seniors who have completed either Economics
or A.P. Macroeconomics. The AIM students talked about the career opportunities
within the financial services industry. They also talked about the subject
matter that the Pius students will need to master in order to excel at their
major.

The AIM students talked about their internships and
the entry level jobs they will be starting following graduation in May 2017.
They also discussed their internships and how they chose the areas of finance
they will be employed. A question and answer session followed. Additionally, the students discussed the AIM
program at Marquette and answered questions.
Dr. David Krause said, “We’d like
to thank Roger Radke for hosting our students at Pius XI. I’d also like to give
a shout out to the Marquette students who took time out of their schedules to give back to our community and in representing
the AIM program and Marquette. And a special thanks to Jessica Hoerres for
travelling with the students and helping to organize the event.”
