Today things are moving fast in the finance industry. In our open-source, fast-changing digital marketplace, it is important for students to gain real-world experience to help them for the world of FinTech that awaits them. Theory and case study is important, but applied learning and immersion into the markets is essential.

Today, September 13th, Bill Gottlieb of Bloomberg introduced the newest AIM class to the Bloomberg Terminal.

He helped the students create/renew their Bloomberg accounts; provided information about how students can self-learn various Bloomberg modules and functions; gave a high level overview of the broad functional areas that Bloomberg covers (such as news. company analysis and special analytics); give insights regarding how to begin researching a specific company; and showed the students how to conduct industry research using Bloomberg Intelligence (the BI function).

Dr. Krause, AIM program director said, "For AIM students the advantages of having access to Bloomberg for their coursework and research are clear. Today’s finance graduates must be both intellectually and technically savvy to succeed beyond the classroom. Bloomberg proficiency helps them acquire in real time, marketable skills that improve the odds of them landing a desirable internship or entry level position in the finance industry."
